In Hemnes Municipality, the company NCP (Nordic Comfort Products) produces furniture from plastic waste in new and sustainable ways through innovation and design. They design and manufacture sustainable products, by reusing both steel and plastic from the local industry. They collect worn-out fishnets, ropes, and pipes from local fish farming companies, Kvarøy Fiskeoppdrett and Nova Sea, and serve them with a new purpose. Their customers include schools, hotels, restaurants and businesses in Norway and internationally.
