Åga sanitary association
Åga sanitary association runs Kløverturer every Wednesday at 11.00. This is a small trip in the local area and is organized so that everyone can participate.
Members’ meeting is on the first Wednesday of each month at 18.00, we have this at the LHL building in Hauknes.
At Hauknes care home there is coffee and cake twice a year and a “cozy evening for the elderly” is held at LHL in the late autumn, with coffee/cakes and music and dancing for those who want it. The pupils at Hauknes school get fruit and vegetables every autumn. And a welcome gift is given to newborns.
And in collaboration with other sanitary associations, Mardi Gras rice is sold, where the money, goes to research into women’s health. We also contribute to many local initiatives.
Dalsgrenda sanitary association
Dalsgrenda sanitary association is an active group. Every year, a school breakfast is prepared for the students at Dalsgrenda Montessori School.
Flea market and bazaar every autumn, and at Christmas there is a Christmas tree party. At midsummer evening, the elderly people’s center in the village enjoys a sour cream porridge with cured meat that the association makes.
An adventure trail is being planned. Like all our sanitation associations, the income is given to both local and national measures. Dalsgrenda is also one of the associations that collaborates around Mardi Gras. Clover tours are also one of the initiatives there. The meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month.
Straumbygda sanitary association
The Straumbygda sanitary association gives welcome gifts to newborns in the village, and many benefit from fixed contributions they make both locally and all the way to Ethiopia where the support is for the development of the Ethiopian women’s sanitary association. Every year, a large bazaar is held in Advent and an informal get-together is organized for the villagers with coffee and lottery. In addition, evening meals are prepared at the residential center once a year. Straumen is also one of the associations that cooperates with the joint sale of Mardi gras rice. The members’ meeting is held on the first Tuesday of the month.
Storforshei sanitation association
The association supports children and young people in the local community, for example grants to equip the youth club, so that it can get started again. Provides financial support for thriving measures at nursing homes/care homes. Arranges Advent coffee for the elderly. Bazaar 1 time a year. Also has Mardi Gras rice for sale. And member meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month.
Bjøllånes sanitation association
Bjøllånes sanitation association has regular social meetings in the village, spring coffee to which everyone in the valley is invited and likewise a Christmas event. Mardi gras rice, bazaar and raffle where the income goes to local institutions, teams etc. The member meetings are approx. once a month at Storvoll village hall. The association has good cooperation with the village team and the shooting team in the village.
Mo Sanitation Association
The association holds spring and autumn bazaars. We visit the nursing home with cakes and coffee once a year. Sells Mardi Gras rice and the income goes to local causes and women’s health, among other things. The meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month.

Care preparedness group
The care preparedness group is a collaboration across associations. The group stands up at short notice in crisis situations that may occur in the municipality. For instance we stood on vaccination watch during the vaccinations for covid-19. We have close cooperation with, among others, the Fire Service. In addition, we are involved in the municipality’s emergency plan.
